The Fourth Summer School in Materialities of Literature is titled “MATLIT-RIT Summer School” and aims to provide an introduction to research topics of the PhD Programme.

The “MATLIT-RIT Summer School” results from a partnership between the PhD Programme in Materialities of Literature of the School of Arts and Humanities at the University of Coimbra and the Department of English at the Rochester Institute of Technology. This Summer School will take place in July 2017 (3, 5, 6 and 7), at the School of Arts and Humanities at the University of Coimbra. The Summer School is coordinated by Sandy Baldwin (RIT) and Manuel Portela (UC). It will be taught by four PhD students from the Programme in Materialities of Literature. The School is primarily addressed to students of the graduations in Media Arts and Technology, and in Digital Humanities and Social Sciences from the Rochester Institute of Technology. Registration is also open to Coimbra University students. The course is structured in 8 modules, covering different perspectives on the intersections between literature and digital mediation. The fee for the course is 60€ (general) or 40€ (students).
